Installation Instructions

Thank you for purchasing a 3D printed Low Profile Action Camera Mask Mount from Badas.Design.

Please read the following guidance carefully before fitting.

This guide shows one of our 3D printed mask mounts being used with a DYE I4 mask. Please note this mount fits other masks on the market but the mount may require some modification if used on other products.

We cannot be held responsible for any damages caused to your goods by following this guide. Please take what you see and combine it with patience and a level of sensibility if you decide to mount this item to a mask other than a DYE I4 paintball mask.

Step 1

Your 3D printed camera head mount will arrive fully assembled. Remove all three bolts and set your pieces aside as shown below.

We advise you remove your lens if possible, check your manufacturer's website or YouTube for guides on how to do this.

A DYE I4 guide we recommend you follow can be found here.

Step 2

With your mask and head cam mount now prepared, choose between fitting your mount to your mask with either bolts only or zip-ties. We recommend you use the included bolts for a secure mounting and this removes the most vibration and camera bobble whilst running.

Now place your lower half of the mount on the inside of the head ventilation and push the smaller bolts through the fins. This will cause a permanent deformation to the fins but will not ruin the performance of your mask.

Now place the upper half of the mount onto the two shorter bolts, and using an M5 allen key you can now tighten this together.

Step 3

You can now re-fit your lens or do this after adding your action camera. Simply push the camera into the mount and use the last bolt to secure it. Do not over tighten these bolts, you may break the mount or your actual camera cage.

Now you can set the angle of your camera by adjusting the pressure of the last securing screw. Once you have an angle you are happy with, tighten every bolt up a little and go shoot!
